Hi, I’m Marilyn Gough.
Painting is my passion and it’s wonderful to share with you the excitement and fulfilment that I find in creating art. I love the movement and feel of creating a piece; not knowing what the finished canvas will look like brings with it so much anticipation while my music is playing, and I am in the zone.
Blue Sky Gallery my beautiful light filled studio in Cheltenham is where I create my art and where you have the opportunity of seeing an artist in action.
The mediums that I use are all fluid and individual by nature, I love the movement and energy that can be created on the canvas and the vibrancy of the highly pigmented paints and inks that I use. Fluid art techniques allow me to fully embrace the power of movement and colour to create artworks that have an impact on our emotions and subjective points of view; and with every piece, I am the tool through which the most beautiful creations come to life.
As a brushless artist, I have found other ways to move the mediums around the canvas. This means every painting is unique and while it is possible to create complementary works, no two paintings will ever be the same.
My art is exhibited both in the UK and Internationally.
